Connecting Global Trade on the Red Sea

Port of NEOM is a strategic gateway on the Red Sea. At the crossroads of east‑west trade, it connects Asia, Africa, and Europe while advancing regional integration through multimodal corridors with Egypt, Saudi Arabia and Iraq.

Already receiving cargo, the Port handles containers, bulk, ROPAX and warehousing - reinforcing Saudi Arabia’s role in enabling global supply chains.

Port Development

Port of NEOM is transforming into an advanced, automated, and sustainable maritime hub. The new T1 container terminal, which is nearing completion, features a 550m access channel, 18.5m draft, and 900m quay wall to accommodate the world’s largest vessels. Operations will be supported by renewable energy sources and fully electric equipment, embedding sustainability at the core.

Current Operations

Already handling cargo, Port of NEOM provides a comprehensive suite of services designed to meet the demands of modern trade: general and project cargo, containerized shipments, bulk consignments, warehousing and RoRo (roll on – roll off) ferry operations. Each service has been designed for predictable, at-scale performance that delivers speed and reliability.

T1 Terminal

The new container terminal at the Port of NEOM will launch in 2026, building up to 1.5M TEU capacity, and offering the Kingdom’s first fully automated Ship-to-Shore cranes. As advanced digital systems are developed to enhance precision and reliability, a pioneering program is equipping Saudis for high-tech roles as remote crane operators - driving innovation and workforce inclusion.
